Bestiii is a personal app, and what you share with it is personal. This page explains what we keep, why, and who helps us run it.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, the name you give us, and your birthday (to work out your sign).
- What you make in the app: journal entries, dreams, weekly resets, chats with Bestiii, tarot readings, to-dos, yoga routines, your spirit color, your notification choices, and the things you save to your boards.
- Friends’ birthdays: the names and birthdays you add to Birthday radar. Only you can see them. Please add only friends who wouldn’t mind.
- Products you add: when you add a product link, its name, photo, price and link go into a shop catalog anyone browsing Bestiii can see. Signed-in users can also see a record of which account added it.
- Boards you share: when you share or post a board, its title, your first name, any note you write and the products on it, so the link or the shop can show them. Anyone with the link can see a shared board. If you switch on “Birthday on my boards”, your boards also show your birthday’s month and day (never the year) in the 30 days before it.
- Your chats with Bestiii: every message you send Bestiii and her replies (including chats about your readings) are kept on our servers. A small team at Bestiii can read them to keep the app safe, for example to spot misuse or someone who may need help, and to make Bestiii better. They’re never sold or used for advertising, and they’re deleted when your account is deleted.
- How the app is used: which screens are opened, how long a visit lasts, and moments like drawing a reading, saving something, sharing a board or tapping Buy. This usage tracking is tied to your account’s ID number, never your name or email, and never includes what you write. Your country and city are estimated from your internet connection, not your GPS. On this website, we count visits the same way, without cookies. When you open a shared board here, your browser keeps a random code so a repeat visit isn’t counted twice.
- Who shared Bestiii with you: if you join by opening a board a friend sent you, we note whose board it was so we can thank the people who help Bestiii grow.
- Your rough location, only if you allow it, to show your local weather and moon. It is used to look up the weather and is not stored with your account.
How it’s used
Only to run Bestiii for you: to write your horoscope, readings and replies, to keep your things in sync across your phones, to show shared boards, and to understand how Bestiii is used so we can make it better. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Who helps us
- Supabase stores your account and what you make, securely.
- Anthropic (the company behind Claude) writes Bestiii’s horoscopes, readings and replies. What you send in a chat, reading, dream or weekly reset is shared with it to write the answer. For chats, that includes what Bestiii remembers about you: your name, signs, spirit color, recent readings and things you’ve told her.
- Open-Meteo provides the weather for your area.
- PostHog counts how the app and this website are used (see above), so we can see what’s working and fix what isn’t.
- Stores: when you tap “Buy”, you go to that store’s own site, where its privacy policy applies.
Your choices
You can edit or delete what you make in the app at any time. Clearing or deleting a chat in the app removes it from your history; our safety copy is kept until your account is deleted. You can download a copy of what Bestiii keeps about you (very long sections stop at 5,000 items; email us for the complete copy), or delete your account and everything in it, from Your account → Your data & privacy in the app. Deleting is immediate and permanent. The one exception is usage counts already sent to PostHog, which are tied only to an ID number and aren’t removed when you delete your account. If you can’t get into the app, email sam@ventrastudio.com and we’ll take care of it.
Children
Bestiii is for people 13 and older, and sign-up isn’t available to anyone younger. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us their information, email sam@ventrastudio.com and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
